📄 RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS – BØ BILUTLEIE (ENGLISH)

I. GENERAL TERMS

By booking and using a rental car from Bø Bilutleie, you agree to these terms and conditions. The rental agreement becomes effective upon vehicle handover and ends when the vehicle is returned at the agreed time and location.

II. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

  • The renter must hold a valid driver’s license and be at least 23 years old.

  • The license must have been valid for a minimum of 2 years.

  • Valid ID and license must be shown at pickup.

  • Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation without refund.

III. PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT

  • The full rental amount and deposit must be paid before vehicle pickup.

  • The deposit will be refunded within 5 business days after the vehicle is returned and inspected, unless damage, missing fuel, or other charges apply.

  • Any tolls, fines, or fuel discrepancies will be deducted from the deposit.

IV. RENTER’S FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Bø Bilutleie reserves the right to claim compensation for damages, additional cleaning, missing fuel, parking fines, or toll charges not covered by the deposit. The renter is financially responsible for any breaches of the rental agreement, including but not limited to:

  • Unauthorized use of the vehicle

  • Damages not covered by insurance

  • Late return

  • Any loss incurred due to violation of terms

The renter is liable for any costs exceeding the deposit amount.

V. USAGE AND RETURN

  • The vehicle may only be used for its intended purpose within Norway unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Smoking and pets are not allowed in the car.

  • The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level and in clean condition.

  • Unnotified delays may result in additional charges.

VI. CANCELLATION

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance are fully refunded.

  • Cancellations 3–7 days in advance are 50% refunded.

  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance are non-refundable.

VII. PRIVACY POLICY

Bø Bilutleie processes your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. This includes your name, address, phone number, email, and order history, which are stored for legal and accounting purposes. The information is available under “My Account.” You may request deletion by contacting us directly.

Payment card information is securely stored by our payment providers (Nets or Settle) for the duration of your active booking. We do not store card data ourselves.

Cookies are used to enhance your browsing experience and enable essential features. We also collect anonymous usage data to improve our services.

VIII. CHANGES TO TERMS

Bø Bilutleie reserves the right to update or replace these terms at any time. The current version is always available at www.boebilutleie.no. If the changes are considered significant, they will be published 30 days in advance. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
